Dos & Don'ts of Goa

  • Always carry cotton clothes while traveling to Goa because Goa is warm throughout. For the     beach, you can carry beachwear like trunks or bikinis. For the evenings, light cotton trousers and shirts or skirts and tops would be ideal. There are ample shops in Goa where you can purchase good cotton clothes at reasonable rates.
     

  • Always carry with you good suntan oil if you are looking forward to getting a good tan.
     

  • Always leave your belongings locked in the hotel and carry minimum cash with you if you are planning to spend the entire day on the beach. You can carry a small bag which can contain all that you need for the day at the beach and which can be left behind by the beach-couch, this way you can avoid chances of anything getting stolen.
     

  • Always book the hotels well in advance to ensure a tension-free stay.
     

  • Avoid eating from strangers on the beach because the food might be drugged.
     

  • Avoid venturing into the sea if you are visiting Goa during monsoon.
     

  • Avoid taking up any sports activities related to the sea if you are visiting Goa during the monsoons.
